Culinary Arts Classroom Upgrades for Voorhees Regional High School
/Labscape Casework For New Jersey High School
With an increase in the popularity of cooking shows and the emphasis being placed on the poor eating habits of adolescents, Culinary Arts classes are becoming more trendy for high school students. The Food Network is host to over 200 cooking shows and food programs. These shows are not only instructional and feature competitive cooking, but nutritional guidance as well. According to a recent article in U.S. News & World Report entitled "High School Food and Nutrition Classes Serve Up Skills for Life", food and nutrition are the subject of today's home economics classes. The Voorhees Regional High School located in Glen Gardner, NJ offers a variety of food and nutrition classes as part of their Family & Consumer Sciences curriculum for students in grades 9-12. Recently, Labscape was chosen to provide the Culinary Arts classrooms with Plastic Laminate Casework and Cabinetry and Plastic Laminate Countertops. Plastic Laminate Casework is an economical choice and comes in an array of colors, patterns and textures. Its flexibility allows it to be disassembled and relocated, should the need arise. These upgrades were purchased off the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey (ESCNJ) state contract.
